This research paper discusses the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in children. The problem of PTSD may be caused by a variety of disturbing situations faced by a child. The whole family could be affected by the child’s trauma. The child could have serious psychological problems due to PTSD, and he may develop through adulthood learning and memory problems, cardiovascular diseases and depression besides being at risk for other trouble or diseases.

Working Full Time, Going To School Full Time

What a semester the Fall 2008 semester has been. Here I completed week 8 PSYC 365, Human Learning and I am exhausted both mentally and physically.
That is one plus of classes at Liberty University, the 8 week classes which allows me to take three 3 classes. One of the classes actually overlaps because of the way the subterms are scheduled. By the end of the semester, I earn 9 hours of college credit. If I can continue going to school full time, I will finish in spring 2012, enabling me to enroll immediately into a doctoral program.
The only thing I sometimes wonder is if I can continue on the pace I have begun. Sometimes, going to school full time as well as working full time is challenging. Most of the time I am doing my class work while I am at work but sometimes it is harder to do than others. However, I do give my clients my full attention whenever they come into my office. Sometimes my employees just want to stop by and talk, especially if they are having a hard day.
That is one of the reasons why I chose Psychology. So far, I have only taken one Psychology class. I am trying to get the basics done first. The next two years, I want to devote to expanding on my research in post traumatic stress disorder in children.
My next goal is to create a psychology practice under my corporation, bring in a licensed psychologist, and create my own internship within my company while working under the supervision of that licensed psychologist. In a competitive environment with an economy that has tanked in 2008, creating your own opportunities will ensure my own job security.
Religion and Liberty University

Some people have asked me about whether or not you need to be a Christian or religious to attend Liberty University. I would have to say no. Just because the school is a Christian school doesn’t mean that there are other religions there. There are in fact Muslims and Jewish students on campus as well. Many people have even said that it is a requirement to attend the Convocation or Campus Church. Again, the answer is no. If you are Catholic, then it would be beneficial to attend the Convocation and Campus Church services.
As long as you have no problem using the Bible as a reference in your class assigments, you should not have any problem with attending Liberty. Many of the class assignments require the use of the Bible. For example, in a week 7 discussion board assignment for PSYC 341, Psychology of Personality, there were two questions that needed to be answered.
-
- What does God’s word teach us about these factors within the life of a believer?
- How does the Holy Spirit work within us as believers regarding self-regulation?
If you are pursuing an undergraduate degree program, there are religion courses that are part of the required curriculum. The religious courses are only taken a few times, after that even some of the other courses are somewhat religious in the way they are taught, it is not bad. I mean the professors I have had since I started are the best you can ask for.
Everyone at LU is very understanding. I have had some problems like I ordered the wrong books for a class and one time the paper I sent to them via the Internet did not come through and both times they were very understanding. Compared to the other colleges that I have attended, I could not be happier. To be perfectly honest, my only regret is I did not start with Liberty University first as an undergraduate.

Palm Beach Atlantic University is a Christian university located in West Palm Beach, FL that equips students to lead fulfilling lives through learning, leadership and service. It is now offering distance learning programs. However, they are only offering the Bachelors of Science in Organizational Management.
PBAU stresses small class sizes to ensure you get the personal attention from your professors you’d expect from an in-person class. And best of all, the school is really committed to helping students out when it comes to financial aid. From the moment you apply, you meet with an admissions counselor where they will work with you to develop the course of action to achieve your educational goals.
Distance Learning Programs Requires Hard Work

After making the decision to continue with my career change to Psychology by pursuing a second Master’s degree, I realized that doing the program online is going to be much more challenging than on campus. Liberty University has had a lot to offer and provides a very stimulating and challenging program that I highly recommend to anyone seeking online eduction.
The start of my first semester was at the same time that my dad past away from liver disease. However, from a personal standpoint I knew that it was time to move on and press forward no matter how difficult it is. In fact, it was being my dad’s caregiver for two years that caused me to make this career change to Psychology in the first place.
Having come from a business background in the undergraduate and my first masters program which were on campus and full 16 week terms, I had an idea of what to expect from a compressed acadmic program in the distance learning arena. Liberty University’s Online program consists of the standard semesters with three sub-terms that last eight weeks. This is great for someone that wants to get their program done quickly, and is working in a position that will allow them to apply the concepts to their work environment. Many of the students in all of my online classes are mostly stay at home mothers in their twenty’s. There are a few in their fourty’s. In each of the classes, it was mostly women, maybe three or four men in the class. This begs the question if women are more suited to be self-regulated learners.
I have now completed six course totalling 18 credit hours towards my name with a 3.0 GPA. I actually got a C in my Human Learning class this past semester for the simple fact that I forgot include a section of the paper. The paper was already 16 pages long. The professor said I could have received the full 115 points if included it.
Besides that little mishap, I found a lot of useful and insightful information in all of the courses in the program and enjoyed the way instructors organize the course and interact with the students in the class. Five of these course had multiple choice exams that were a mixture of vertabim recall and applied situations. The final course in Human Learning, all of the questions were applied situations. Had to know the concepts by reading and re-reading and summarizing my notes in my own words.
Much like I approach my assignments at work, or any other major life decisions, I took an analytical, quantitative approach to deciding my approach education. To be able to succeed in a distance learning program requires discipline and hard work. You have to keep up with the readings and if you fall behind in an 8 week course it may result in a borderline grade. Many students at LU have started off on campus and switched to the online programs. This experience got them acclamated with the 8 week format so that they can transfer what the learned to the online program. If you are in the online program and you have to take a course that you are not particularly strong in, such as a math class, you can take it on campus. That is one of the benefits of a university offering both residential and distance learning programs.
If you are in a predicament where you started taking a distance learning class and found out that it is too overwhelming, start off with some courses on campus before taking them online. At least you will have the support and in-person interaction with the other students in the class. It can be difficult to make decisions like this and to decide to move on when you are enjoying your instructors, the program concept, and the people you are meeting in class. My family is valuable to me and the time, stress, and money that is needed to sustain the program with Liberty is more conducive to owning my own company knowing that my desire to become a licensed pyschologist is in sight.
