regislogoLocated in Denver, Colorado, Regis University is a four year private university with a Jesuit vision. Regis University provides men and women the skills needed to take on leadership roles and to make a positive impact in an ever changing society. Regis University  seeks to provide values-centered education.

The School of Professional Studies, established in 1970, offers programs specifically for working adults. The school servers more than 12,000 students worldwide both on campus and online. The faculty is made up of experienced scholar-practicioners, with 90% holding a Ph.D. degree.

Courses are 8 weeks long allowing students to finish their degree faster, and are offered in the classroom, online, or as a Guided Independent Study. With Guided Independent Study, students work through approved learning contracts under the direction of content area experts. This format allows the highly disciplined student to self-design their coursework so they can meet both personal and professional objectives.

The Master’s of Education program offers several specializations which include:

  • M.Ed with Licensure/Certification
  • M.Ed in Special Education
  • M.Ed in Linguistically Diverse Education
  • M.Ed in Reading Specialization
  • M.Ed in Adult Learning, Training, and Development
  • M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction
  • M.Ed in Instructional Technology
  • M.Ed in Professional Leadership
  • M.Ed in Space Studies

Regis University is regionally accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and a member of the North Central Association

University of Scranton

logoThe University of Scranton is a Christian university in the Jesuit tradition, committed to the ideals of God’s Kingdom and to the perspective of the liberal arts in which integration of faith, learning, and action is a primary goal. Located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, the school has more than 80 undergraduate and graduate degree programs, and 5,600 students enrolled.

Accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, The University of Scranton two Master’s degrees in Education, the Master of Science in Education:  Curriculum and Instruction and Master of Science in Education:  Educational Administration.

Admissions are somewhat liberal. A 2.75 undergraduate GPA is required, along with three references. GRE scores may be required upon the discretion of the Dean of the program.

Tuition is rather expensive. Graduate tuition is $775 per credit hour.
